Ambassador Lizzie Carr

Blogger, Adventurer and Explorer

A keen adventurer, Lizzie’s love of nature and the outdoors has always been an innate part of her personality. Having grown up in the foothills of Mount Teide, Tenerife, her unconventional childhood was centred around being outside.

It was these precious moments she spent connecting with nature that sparked her wanderlust orientated soul.

Lizzie eventually moved back to the UK, but her love for adventure continued to grow and strengthen. After studying English Literature at University, she pursued her passion and represented some of the world’s leading explorers as they set off on global expeditions, before leaving the corporate world to spend more time returning to her roots and doing what she’s always loved – exploring.

In 2012, Lizzie spent months eco-adventuring in remote locations worldwide. She hiked through the Yunnan and Sichuan provinces of South Western China before continuing to travel to Mongolia in search of the elusive Snow Leopard. Additionally, she also spent time in Sub Saharan Africa, where she seized the opportunity to observe wild animals in their natural habitats – this is where her fascination with rhinos stems from.

Presently, Lizzie works closely with conservation Helping Rhinos. She’s extremely passionate about this cause and is leading an initiative, which is designed to create sustainable wildlife protection areas to protect not just Rhinos, but also entire ecosystems across Africa to secure precious land for generations to come.
