Practical Suggestions for Travelling Photographers – Faruk Akbas

Choosing the people. Before you start, just walk around the shooting area, even do some haphazard shooting. This way you will be warmed up and will have lessened the people’s interest over you. If there’s more than one person to be photographed, pay attention to the harmony and wholeness of them with each other – character, clothing, direction of their look etc. At the same time, backgrounds are as important as the subjects. The atmosphere should be associated with the main subject and must complete the main theme. And, most importantly, they should be photographed as natural as possible.
