Practical Suggestions for Travelling Photographers – Faruk Akbas

Use the clouds! If you want to shoot landscapes or architectural photos, including clouds in your view will add motion to your photos. We also recommend a polarized filter for landscape photography. With this filter the sky will be turned into a saturated blue and the clouds will be brought to the front. If the weather is windy, wait a moment until the clouds reach the location you want, then press the shutter. This way richer compositions will be received. Remember to use the panoramic shooting option if you have it on your camera! If you don’t have this option, you can shoot side by side photos without changing the settings and merge them with Photoshop later!
