Strong Women Trek

The Craghoppers team put on their boots to join a 22km trek around London on the 26th of September along with over 250 women. The event was put together by Strong Women – a brand that is incredibly passionate about women’s wellbeing and fitness.

The event came about when Strong Women conducted a survey on their audience and found that 56% of women wanted to spend more time in nature and 54% were looking for the opportunity to be more active.

We’re no stranger to the effects the outdoors has on your mental wellbeing and now more than ever are looking to hiking and long distance walking to ease some of the stress we all experience.

One of the incredible women taking part in the day said “It was a really good day and amazing to see all the other women encouraging each other even though they were strangers”.

Not only did we take part, at the start of the trek, we handed out filled water bottles to all the participants to make sure they were fully hydrated. It was a great opportunity to chat to everyone and give them encouragement for the challenge ahead. We were then on hand at the finish line to give out some much-needed treats and cosy socks for anyone who had achy feet!

More than just coming together, celebrating the outdoors and testing our stamina, all of the money raised from the day went to the charity Care International. Care International is a humanitarian charity founded in 1945 and supports women and girls across the world to escape poverty and conflict. You can learn more about what they do here.
