1. Venture through Jaipur

Jaipur, the “Pink City” and capital of Rajasthan, offers extraordinary opportunities alongside a beautiful glow of pink resonating throughout the city’s architecture. This is no random colour scheme; this decoration was implemented to mark the visit of the Prince of Wales and Queen Victoria in 1876, as pink signifies the colour of hospitality. The law remains that the entire city is to remain in its current hue, keeping the city pink in colour and vibrancy.

Jaipur also holds regular Kite Festivals. Beautiful to the eye and able to fill travellers with a true sense of joy, the festival is celebrated on the 14th January every year. The traditional Kite Festival marks the transition of the sun from Sagittarius to Capricorn, and the day is considered to bring good luck and prosperity. The festival is thought to be an India point of interest for many travellers and holiday-makers.

2. Escape to Delhi

Delhi is the home to India’s hustle and bustle. From the authenticity of Old Delhi, where you can take a rickshaw ride through the old markets, to the modern life of New Delhi, the traffic filled city centre streets really provide the tourist with a true picture of daily life in Delhi. The rickshaw ride is an extremely popular thing to do in Delhi, as it allows you to fully experience the Old Town. With its population being one of the world’s largest, the city is more like a country in itself, filled with countless places to explore old and new territories.

People also often visit the Golden Triangle, which is a tourist hot-zone formed of land that surrounds Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan. This is a popular place to explore, and as well as being home to the exciting city of Delhi, it surrounds Agra, which hosts India’s well-known landmark, the Taj Mahal. A great tip for seeing the Taj Mahal at its best is visiting at sunset – the dazzling views combined with the exquisite architecture will be a memory to behold. Many travellers agree that this is one of the best places to visit in India.
