Nevada’s history is rooted in the Wild West, from cowboys and Indians to train robberies and silver and gold mines. Though much has changed over the decades, much of the allure of the state is still found in its western heritage and outdoor spaces which makes it the perfect destination to embark on an adventure holiday.

Nevada is home to national parks, deserts, mountains and great rivers; travelling across this spectacular state will leave you with memories to last a lifetime. Visitors to the north of the Silver State can feel the rush of white water kayaking on the Truckee River in Reno, or venture off road to the mountain bike trails of Lake Tahoe. Further south, Nevada is home to a number of natural hot springs, the perfect place to relax after hiking in the Valley of Fire State Park or horseback riding out at Red Rock Canyon.

The adventure doesn’t stop there, and you certainly won’t run out of things to do. Whether it’s hiking up past alpine lakes in the Great Basin National Park, enjoying the ranch-style hospitality of some of America’s last cowboys, quad biking in the dunes of Sand Mountain, or driving down Highway 50, America’s loneliest road.

With a landscape that stretches from the Mojave Desert to the Great Basin, including 67 protected wilderness areas, not to mention a history ranging from extinct volcanoes to pioneering prospectors, there’s a great deal to do and see in the awe inspiring state of Nevada.
