We are continuously delighted and proud to be the Recommended Expedition Clothing Partner for The Duke of Edinburgh Award. The Duke of Edinburgh gives the tools and exposure to push young adults, not just to enjoy the outdoors but to develop essential skills, meet new people and broaden their horizons. Something that we’re incredibly passionate about as we believe that the outdoors are for everyone to explore and enjoy.
For our latest campaign, we’ve partnered with a local school, Manchester Academy, to support 40 pupils who aim to complete their Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award.
10 pupils from the school feature in our nationwide marketing campaign, testing out the latest waterproofs, trousers and tops from our DofE Expedition Clothing Range.
It has been really special for our students at Manchester Academy to work with Craghoppers - they have been thrilled to be involved with the brand. It has been a particularly challenging time over the past year or so, but we're pleased to see so many students raring to get started on their Duke of Edinburgh journey once again. - Emma Wood, Curriculum Area Leader for Geography for KS4
We asked the pupils what they thought of the
photo shoot and how it's inspired them:
I loved the photo shoot, it was fun even though I thought I would never do anything like this. It built my confidence and it makes me want to more experiences like this. I am looking forward to doing the Duke of Edinburgh award and making friends. - Leticia
I had a lot of fun on the trip and have gained a lot of confidence in myself. I am looking forward to starting my DofE experience to learn more about nature. - Robyn
I really enjoyed the DofE shoot and what we did and would like to do something like that again. It built my confidence and encouraged me, it was a really fun experience for me. I can’t wait to do my bronze award and to boost my confidence more and get out with my friends. - Kyle
