You could argue there are too many places to visit in a lifetime. With one of the main forms of transport being bicycles, on foot, or if you’re taking it very easy then canal boat, you’ll realise there isn’t a feeling of being hurried. Add to that a welcoming and friendly, if maybe a little reserved, people of Amsterdam. You’ll soon realise that Amsterdam makes anear unique city escape. An excellent place to visit for any adventurer. This city deserves a spot on this post because it’s one of the few places that combines an urban centre with a real sense of adventure.

The weather in Amsterdam is unpredictable. Quite comparable to the UK, so packing lightweight waterproofs and mid-layers is advised.

Berlin earns a spot on the list thanks to its very deep history, air of anti-authority, tourist friendly layout and the near uncountable things to do and see. Berlin really bring you into it’s culture as soon as you arrive. You’ll notice how spotless the streets are, at the same time as having unavoidable graffiti showing their rebellious nature. The layout of the bars strongly encourages a social atmosphere. The tour guides are an absolute must. Most are free and show you around everything you want to see, day or night. One great thing that stands out in Berlin is the public transport. You can get anywhere in the city walking and using the circular train network.

There are a good range of things to occupy your time whilst in the Dolomites; hiking, skiing, cycling or even just soaking in the beauty of the place whilst getting some rest and relaxation.

Of course the dolomites are mountains so weather conditions change quickly. Being prepared is always key for travelling and the Dolomites are no exception. Warm, thick and reliable coats, trousers and shoes or boots must be on your checklist. As well as mid layers and underlayers.
