Kendal Mountain Festival 2024

Kendal Mountain Festival 2024

From Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th November, the Craghoppers team returned for another year at Kendal Mountain Festival and this time the spotlight was on our Craghoppers x National Trust collaboration. Despite weather conditions, Kendal Mountain Festival still managed to unite adventurers from all over the world for a weekend dedicated to celebrating all things exploration and outdoors.

Kicking off the weekend, on Friday 22nd November, we had inspiring stage talks at Basecamp from friend of the brand, Adam Raja. and National Trust ranger, Tia Crouch. Adam shared his journey of resilience, talking candidly about turning to the outdoors and adventure as a way to reinvent himself after a period of incarceration. His story and content creation continues to inspire others to use the outdoors as an opportunity for growth and healing. Meanwhile, Tia, Peat Ecologist at the National Trust, spoke about all things peatlands and the crucial need for their restoration in order to promote habitat recovery and combat climate change.

NT walk

On Friday afternoon we had our National Trust community hike take place, led by National Trust Ranger Rob. The walk started just outside Kendal, at Sizergh castle, with Rob leading the group to Park End Moss. Once a deteriorated farmland, now a restored haven for wildlife.

Ceilidh

Across all three evenings, we held our ever-popular Ceilidh nights, giving guests an opportunity to take shelter from the rain, enjoy drinks at the bar and learn some classic Ceilidh dance steps. Similarly to previous years, all three nights sold out and are a real highlight of the festival weekend!

Basecamp

Back at Basecamp, it was all about the Craghoppers x The National Trust collection. A range inspired by nature whereby 10% of net sales go towards supporting essential conservation projects, such as Peatland restoration, at The National Trust. Alongside browsing the full collection, visitors to the stand could learn more about the brand, take part in interactive games, chat with real National Trust employees about the conservation work they do and even be in with the chance of winning their own fleece from the range.

After yet another fantastic weekend at Kendal Mountain Festival, we’re already looking forward to next year!
