Craghoppers x National Trust | Win the Ultimate Winter Weekend Experience

The following terms and conditions relate to the prize draw to ‘Win the Ultimate Winter Weekend Experience’ competition as advertised by Craghoppers. The prize will be managed by Craghoppers Limited and National Trust and will be subject to these terms & conditions.

Prize includes:

2 nights stay at Great Langdale campsite for a family of 4 in a heated pod (Dates - 17th & 18th January 2025)

4 x tickets to Stargazing at National Trust Allan Bank on Friday 17th January 2025

£500 worth of Craghoppers kit

To enter the competition, you must be available to attend the experience from Friday 17th January to Sunday 19th January, including the stargazing experience on Friday 17 January. You’ll need to make your own travel arrangements to Great Langdale Campsite and to and from the stargazing experience at Allan Bank.

2. The prize draw is open to residents of the UK only, except employees of Craghoppers and National Trust, their families, agents or anyone else professionally associated with the draw and competition.

3. The prize is open to one entry per person.

4. The competition runs from Thursday 21st November 2024 and closes for receipt of entries at 23.59 GMT on Friday 13th December 2024. The winner will be contacted on Monday 16th December 2024 via email.

5. If you wish to enter our competition, you need to complete the data entry form at www.craghoppers.com/competition/

6. By entering our competition, you warrant:

a. That you are 18 years of age or older.

b. You do not work for Craghoppers, National Trust, or any of their affiliate companies.

7. We need a valid email address to contact the winner via email and only fully completed entries before 23:59 GMT 13th December 2024 will be valid.

8. The winner will be selected at random and contacted on Monday 16th December 2024 via email.

9. Winner Selection: So that the winner is selected fairly from all the valid entries received, we will use a random generator under independent supervision to draw the winner for the announcement date on 16th December 2024.

10. The winner will be notified by email on Monday 16th December to confirm they are able to accept the prize.

11. If the winner does not respond to us within 5 days from the date of the notification, the prize will be forfeited, and we will select another winner at random. If the winner rejects their prize or if their entry is invalid, the prize will be forfeited, and we will select another winner at random.

12.The judge’s decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

13. No responsibility will be accepted by Craghoppers Limited for loss of entries through technical fault, transmission delays or incomplete, illegible or other damaged entries. Proof of entry is not automatically proof of receipt.

14. The prize includes:

Dates of stay - 17th & 18th January

The prize includes breakfast for Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th at Great Langdale campsite, which consists of tea or coffee, a bacon or vegan sausage baguette or one of our tasty pastries

Travel to Great Langdale Campsite, or the stargazing experience at Allan Bank isn’t included in the prize.

We won’t be responsible for any transport, food or accommodation costs incurred in the acceptance of the prize.

No cash alternative or refund will be given, and winners must be over 18.

15. The prize is for a fixed date and no alternative dates can be offered. The value of Craghoppers kit is to be calculated at the original price before any discounts are applied.

16. The prize as described above is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or combined with any other offer, promotion, or discount, and cannot be transferred to anyone else.

17. In the event of unforeseen circumstances Craghoppers Limited reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value.

- Check in is from 3pm at Great Langdale.

- The stay includes two nights in one of our Plus Pods - an insulated pod with underfloor heating, lighting, plug sockets and USB points. 1 room. 2 platform seats/single beds. Double bed area for floor sleeping (mats provided). Guests should bring their own sleeping and cooking equipment and chairs. For 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children. No dogs.

- Breakfast is included and consists of tea or coffee, a bacon or vegan sausage baguette or one of our tasty pastries.

Further details about the stargazing experience

Family Stargazing experience at Allan Bank – a family friendly evening learning about the universe and stargazing in Grasmere.

- The event begins at 17.30 and ends at 19.00 and includes four tickets for upto four (including children).

- Explore the wonders of the winter night sky. Our astronomy experts will take you on a whistle stop tour of the universe on the big screen. You will learn some fun facts about stars, planets and galaxies.

- Then, weather permitting, we will head outside and get hands-on using telescopes and binoculars to go in search of sparkling star clusters, distant galaxies and some giant planets.

- The content of this evening is family-orientated and suitable for adults with children of all ages.

- Please note if the weather is poor or cloudy the event will still go ahead. Our astronomers will instead take more time to take you on a virtual tour of the universe on the screen!

- Suitability - Children must be accompanied by an adult.

- Meeting point - please park in the village and make your way up the driveway to Allan Bank. Members of our team will be there to meet you and direct you from here.

- What to bring and wear - bring a torch and binoculars if you have them. Please wear warm clothing. Please also wear suitable footwear for walking on a footpath which is well graded but slightly rough in places.

- Accessibility - the indoor area is wheelchair accessible. The outdoor part of the evening involves a 50m walk on well graded footpath. We can accommodate those with accessibility needs if we know in advance.

- Other - warm drinks (tea/coffee/hot chocolate), fruit squash and biscuits will be available all evening. Please note if the weather is poor or cloudy the event will still go ahead. Our astronomers will instead take more time to take you on a virtual tour of the universe on the screen!
