The Craghoppers Film Prize, which is awarded as part of The Discover Film Awards, celebrates the very best talent of student and established short filmmakers from around the world. It includes one student cash prize of £2,000 at each Discover Film Awards in April and October 2019. The ultimate Craghoppers Film Prize will be up for grabs at the October Discover Film Awards in London and entries will be shortlisted from all award winners from the April and October festivals, no matter what genre or who has entered. The first prize is £20,000 in cash with a second prize of £5,000 in cash and this year an additional award of £5,000 for the best social impact film.

It encourages the next generation of filmmakers to create thrilling new content for emerging digital platforms - from Netflix to Amazon, music videos to new forms of corporate branded content. This is a generation vital to the future of the global digital economy.
Craghoppers, working alongside Discover.film, aim to identify leaders in short filmmaking. And then reward them with major investment and prize money. Supporting the arts is an important strategic decision for the brand.
This bold new initiative will grow year on year, making the Craghoppers Film Prize one of the most coveted accolades within the international film community - associating the Craghoppers name with quality, innovation and creativity.
In addition Craghoppers will be supporting UK students currently studying filmmaking in selected colleges and Universities and will be seeking out future Ambassadors for the brand.
