Flossie Donnelly started beach cleaning when she was 7. She then started a beach cleaning club when she was 9, which led to launching a National charity when she was 11.
We first heard about Flossie at the Outsider ie Awards in February 2023 when she won the Eco Hero of the Year award for all her amazing work. Her mum Harriet – a driving force behind the charity – was there to pick up the award.
Flossie is passionate about marine life and the planet and loves to show how much fun beach cleaning can be.

Flossie and The Beach Cleaners find all sorts of crazy things from the obvious plastic bottles to micro plastic, wipes, sanitary products, men’s pants, phones, jewellery, fake nails, tiny plastic toys and Apple Watches.
