Oscar Winning ‘An Irish Goodbye’ Teams Up With Craghoppers For Screenings In Dublin & Belfast

Winner of the Craghoppers Film Prize, An Irish Goodbye (2021) is heading to Blanchardstown Dublin on Thursday April 20th & Belfast Friday 21st of April for two intimate evenings with the writers & directors of the short film, Tom Berkeley, and Ross White.

On a farm in rural Northern Ireland, estranged brothers Turlough (Seamus O’Hara) and Lorcan (James Martin) are forced to reunite following the untimely death of their mother (Michelle Fairley). But when the pair discover an unfulfilled bucket list belonging to their late mum, their pained reunion takes an altogether different course.

The heart-warming flick kicked off its awards haul by taking home the headline prize from Craghoppers at the Discover Film Awards in 2022 before claiming a BAFTA and an Oscar in early 2023.

Managing Director for Craghoppers Ireland, Brian Fox said on the event: “We’re excited to be able to host an evening with the lads from An Irish Goodbye. Fans of the film and aspiring filmmakers will get a great chance to dive deeper into the movie with the directors and pick their brains about the film.”

At Craghoppers, we understand the value that the artists of today and tomorrow hold, and we want to celebrate those people and help to share their stories with as many people as possible.

So far, we’ve been able to tell incredible stories that fit with Craghoppers’ sustainable ethos such as The Pangolin Man by the incredible Ellie Stones and we’re equally thrilled to be able to share Ross & Tom’s touching tale.
