Our Time At Kendal Mountain Festival

The Craghoppers team returned to Kendal Mountain Festival this year to talk to visitors about our CO2Renu fleece range and offer a chance to win some great prizes! Across Friday 17th – Sunday 19th of November Craghoppers hosted hikes across the Lake District, invited guests to give inspiring talks, hosted the popular Ceilidh as well as sponsored the wonderful Forest Adventure School.

Time and time again Kendal Mountain Festival brings together lovers of the outdoors to share their passion for adventure. This year was even bigger with a record number of visitors and over 6,000 event tickets sold on top of what was sold last year. The festival is a wonderful opportunity to get together, share stories, celebrate successes and plan adventures with visitors from around the world.

Taking to the stage at basecamp on Saturday 18th  we had Madeline Mulqueen join us to talk about taking a step away from the limelight and into the outdoors and the effects on her identity and wellbeing, regaling a candid and real account of climbing Kilimanjaro and sharing her passion for photography. On Sunday 19th Chris Knight took to the stage to share how hiking, cycling and travelling the world helped him recover from his early retirement from professional rugby. From cycling the Welsh coast to climbing the 3 peaks with his bike, Chris is always pushing himself and working to inspire others to get out there.

One of the first events to sell out at Kendal Mountain Festival is the Ceilidh, for this year an extra event was added to Sunday evening which also sold out! A great chance to let loose and have a go at the highland dance.

Phoebe Smith & Dwayne Fields, partnering up to create #WeTwo, hosted a film screening & talk to showcase the incredible work that they do for diversity and inclusion in the outdoors. Phoebe & Dwayne discussed their adventure to Antarctic taking a group of young adults kitted out in Craghoppers for their City to Sea programme.

Throughout the weekend, there were hikes hosted across the Southern Lake District, giving guests of the festival an opportunity to explore the surrounding area being joined by friends of the brand Jack Fleckney, Hanna Smith, Sameed Asghar & Sam Sykes.

Over at Basecamp the team were busy chatting with visitors and handing out prizes to celebrate, showcase and educate guests on our CO2Renu range of fleeces.

Kendal is heaving with visitors during the festival with bustling venues and busy streets, for families we wanted to make sure that there was events for the little ones. We hosted an opportunity for families to have some fun in the rainy weather with the Forest Adventure School hosted by Stomping Ground.

Whilst the team have hung up their boots, they're already counting down the days until next year!
