CO2Renu is Permanently Added to the University of Westminster’s Menswear Archive

In October, we teamed up with the University of Westminster’s Fashion Department to introduce CO2Renu to the students and encourage them to think sustainably as they begin their careers in the fashion industry.

The day began with a tour of the renowned Menswear Archive at the university where the CO2Renu Fleece was permanently added to the collection. The fleece takes its place amongst other pieces of fashion history with the Archive, home to brands such as A-COLD-WALL*, Belstaff, Stone Island and Umbro to name a few.

The students were treated to a live interview between Senior Lecturer, Nicola Mansfield and Craghoppers MD Joanne Black. The students learned that our commitment to sustainability has long been part of the DNA of the brand. Joanne spoke about some of the brand’s partnerships with groups like the Conservation Collective, Savar Primary School and Galapagos Conservation Trust. Joanne also spoke with the students our commitment to hold our sustainable goals to the highest possible standard with the UNFCCC, Sustainable Apparel Coalition, Higg Index, Policy Hub, European Outdoor Group and more.

You can find out more about our commitments to sustainability by reading our sustainability report here.

LanzaTech’s Chief Sustainability Officer, Freya Burton delivered the lecture to students about how LanzaTech harnesses waste carbon emissions to make products like the CO2Renu Fleece. Freya inspired the students with the prospect of designing their products using captured carbon emissions – helped made real with the introduction of CO2Renu.
