Kendal Mountain Festival 2021

The Craghoppers team put on their boots and waterproofs to join thousands of outdoor enthusiasts heading to Kendal Mountain Festival. Founded in 1980 the festival is a four day annual event filled with the best in film screenings, activities, photography exhibits and inspiring talks. From mountain bikers and trail runners to fair weather hikers and even some of the world’s leading expedition leaders, there was something for everyone.

It was an incredible weekend, celebrating all that the outdoors has to offer and what it has done for so many. We set up our stand at Basecamp with our Dynamic 12000 infinity mirror for visitors to have fun, take selfies, with prizes for the best ones. We enjoyed chatting with everyone about our clothing which is perfect for those looking to get out there in all weather.

We joined our Ambassadors Sabah Ahmed and Chaz Powell on their secret strolls around Kendal. Once back at Basecamp, we had the chance to listen as Sabah and Chaz took to the stage to talk about challenges they’ve faced. Sabah spoke about her inspiring commitment to making the outdoors more accessible to mothers and members of the BME community. Chaz chatted about his experiences including the incredible challenges he faced when walking the length of the Zambezi river.

On the final day of the festival, we were joined by Ambassador, Craig Grimes who shared his story of founding Experience Community – an organisation that encourages the disabled and their families to enjoy the outdoors together, with the use of adapted bikes in and around the North of England.

It was a really inspiring weekend and if you weren’t able to make it, you can still get an online festival pass and enjoy the talks and screenings from across the weekend. https://kendalmountainplayer.com/

See you next year!
